Spoooooon!

hehe, does anyone else remember the Tick?

tick

The other night I got on a roll in the kitchen and packed up pretty much everything but the kitchen sink (and the coffee maker!).  Thankfully Arron will still be living here so his kitchen wares are still available for cooking and eating purposes.

Um, except the cutlery is mine and I packed it.  Whoops.

But I still had one lonely spoon kicking around...

So yesterday all foods had to be spoon-edible (or require no utensils!).

It is about to become very apparent that I am also working my way through whatever food I have on hand!

Yogurt, granola, blueberries...

Cheese and avocado quesadilla...

Sammich thin with PB and banana and Supercrack...

How's this for a 9pm dinner?  Frozen hashbrowns.  With ketchup.

And Special K with soy milk for dessert...

Today started out much the same...spreading almond butter with the back of my lowly spoon...

Coffee in my travel mug because I've already packed all of the real mugs...

At lunch time I broke down and busted into the box of camping gear to find an extra fork so I could eat a salad!

IMG_6820 IMG_6810

Mixed greens, carrots, celery, radishes, red pepper and light feta cheese in Spring Herb dressing with fresh basil...

IMG_6814

Hard boiled egg and some fancy olives on the side...

And water....soooo much water....

Tonight I'm attending one last yoga class at Breathing Space and finishing up packing my bedroom closet.  Dinner will be a freezer meal and I'm OK with that.  I'm exhausted.

Remember The Tick? That's where my life motto came from: "Isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit."

Ahhh... I love a good spoon!

I'm sorry I don't remember The Tick. In my defense... I grew up in a family of all girls (read: no comic books).

No idea what the tick is...sorry. I am English though?

Great eats even when moving - how DO you do it!?!

that quesadilla looks awesome. What spice did you put on there?

Good luck packing up the remaining of your stuff!

I dont know Tick.

When I moved (gosh, nearly 2 months ago), I remember this type of living.
I ended up giving away so much darn food because I couldn't eat the contents of my fridge/freezer!

I'm glad you found a fork.

I miss your metal salad bowl though.

Random question: Do you put your banana & PB & Jam thin together or do you eat it as two seperate bits

You guys should look up the Tick on YouTube. He cracks me up!

Laura: nope, jam and banana are separate. :)

Glad you found a fork to eat your salad with! Hope your last days there are peaceful and stress free!

I'd say you're doing really well for having interesting and healthy things left to eat around the house, even if they are random - impressive!

The avocado and cheese quesadilla looks to die for! I'm going to have to make myself one soon :)
