Unplugged

So what’s the worst thing that can happen to someone that spends her entire day on the internet?  Someone whose job is completely internet based. Someone who blogs two to three times a day.

The internet goes out!!

For five or more hours!

And the phone goes with it!

And the cablevision!

Effing hell.  Makes for a fairly unproductive day.  Me thinks I’ll be catching up on missed work on Sunday.  Lame-o.

Thanks a lot EastlinkDid I mention you suck?

So I made lunch!  Leftovers of my bigass Pete’s salad from last night…and some of FH’s world famous spaghetti

nom nom nom.

I asked him for the recipe to share with you all and he said “it just comes together”.  Apparently he’s magic.  *grins*  The recipe remains a secret.

But I’ll tell ya, the secret really is the chunks of Italian sausage and whole button mushrooms.  And wine.  :)

Had I known the communication outage was going to be more than 30 minutes, I would have gone for a run.  I thought I didn’t have time today so I’d already showered and such.  Oh well.  Who knew?

I snuck in a second Starbucks trip instead.  :)  Who said two egg nog mistos in one day was a bad thing?

Tonight we had dinner with a group of friends downtown…a little belated birthday gathering.  Nice!  Sorry no photos of dinner, but if you are interested it was a club wrap with pan fries and a vodka/soda.  :)

The company was certainly more interesting than the food!

Me and the girls…Lori, Krista, Bonnie, et moi…

Bonnie rocking her HAWT shoes. Apparently FH enjoys them too.

Quick blog quiz!!  Who can tell me who this is?

Hint:  Canadian Reality TV!

And birthday loot!

I wore the beautiful new necklace Cat sent me.  This thoughtful girl saw that I love star pendants and hunted this one down for me.

What a friend!

I have a zillion other things to talk about but it’s late and I’m watching Glee…so I’ll try to catch up tomorrow.  Happy weekend!

We didn't lose our internet, but hubby did downtown too. Did you find out the cause? Could have been an accident maybe?

We always have birth-months in our family! If we need anything like, say a chapstick or frozen yogurt we pretend it's a very special birthday treat :) Dorks? Yes. Glad to see you're still celebrating!

Ahh!!!!
I used to love that show. Him and his brother were on it together and his brother was afraid of vegetables...SO funny.

I loved that show!!
Last month I saw Wendy from that season at a pumpkin patch... I so wanted to go talk to her but did not want to bother her.

I know how you feel! The only thing worse/as bad is losing your computer :( It's been HELLISH trying to survive without a computer and using work/school ones to do everything.

That necklace is gorgeous, what an awesome gift!
