All Day Conference Calls

I had a bit of a late start this morning due to staying up way too late last night.  I was catching up on Big Brother and then started into a new book.  I got the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood!!) books while in Winnipeg and I powered through the book I was already reading so that I could launch into the new series.  Six books and I bet I have them all read in two weeks.  Can’t wait!!  Only made it one chapter last night before my eyes said no more though.  Tonight I plan to do my reading before 2am.  LOL.

To get my motor running this morning I made a Bright Purple Smoothie.  No greens today because I knew I planned to include spinach in my dinner again (I’m gonna turn into spinach!).

In the blender this time:  chunks of thawed fresh frozen pineapple, chunks of banana, bit of pineapple juice, fresh blackberries, flax meal, raw oatmeal (for thickening & added protein), and unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze.  Tropically deeeelish!

In order to get through the first of my conference calls I grabbed a cup of coffee (in my memory mug cuz I was missing my TO blogger gals!!) with some cherries and a couple of my tasty new sticky granola bars.  Ooey gooey for sure.

My first call nearly ran right over my second conference call so lunch was thrown together in about 3 minutes flat.  Two small ww tortillas spread with hummus and stuffed with veggies…spinach, carrots and tomatoes.  I was about 5 minutes late for my call, but they forgave me because they all know the feeling.  hehe, lucky me.

Damn, just realized I never took pictures!  Guess I really was in a hurry.

Thankfully we’ve shortened up these weekly calls.  They used to run like 3 hours and eat up the better part of a work day…but we’ve expedited one of my reports and man does that help.  I actually got off the call in about 1.5 hours and was able to almost finish my work on time.  Awesome…gave me time for a final snacky before heading off to yoga tonight.

Stonyfield Farms organic vanilla yogurt with chopped banana and a handful of leftover granola bar fixings (seeds, almonds, raisins).

Tonight I attended a Flow Yoga class at Breathing SpaceAngie and I have been talking about going for a while now, to help stretch and relax our bodies between Booty Camp nights but we just can’t seem to get our schedules to jive so I decided to just go it alone this time.  Glad I did.  Smallest class ever…thought it might only be two of us, but it was four.  The other gals were obviously regulars because they could do binding moves and other such crazy things.  I just stuck with the regular positions and sweated my face off.  Flow goes so fast…it’s a cardio workout too!  It was hard, but I loved it!

Unfortunately I realized on my way home that I had to hurry back for another conference call (yes that’s 3 today…and at 9pm…I’m THAT dedicated…haha) so dinner had to wait.  I snarfed back the other half of yesterday’s Clif Bar, the other half of my banana from earlier, and one of my sticky granola bars while on the call.  No pics there either…bad photo blogger!!

After the call it was 10pm and I was going to abandon dinner all together but I could tell that if I didn’t eat it I’d be rummaging around in the cupboards all night.  And since I’ve been rocking out my healthy regime all week there was no way I was going to screw it up now, so I made my bigass salad.

Quickly tossed together:  baby spinach, carrots, chickpeas, tomatoes, sprinkle mozza cheese, salt & pepper, and a squirt of ranch dressing.  I love chick peas and ranch dressing together…sooo yum.

Whew.  Another long winded post.  Thanks for sticking it out!!  Now off to chug some more water and get into my book!
