Sleepy Sleeperton

The sleep deprivation continues. We had finally both gotten a glorious night of good sleep (allbeit was only about 5-6 hours...but we'll take it) on Tuesday night, so we were certain that FH's insomnia had passed and we'd be back to normal. No such luck. The City of Halifax decided for some godforsaken reason that they should send out heavy equipment to start ripping/plowing/smashing ice at midnight last night. So bad that we actually had to get up and move to the spare room at the back of our house and close all of the upstairs doors, and even then it still shook the house and sounded like the trucks were going to drive right into the house. Not impressed. FH will likely be making an angry phone call when he gets home tonight....in the meantime I vented over on my other blog.

Needless to say, I'm tired yet again. Good thing we're going on that vacation on Saturday!!! Seven glorious days to catch up on sleep, relaxation, and gooooood times!

So yesterday got away from me a little. Not sure what's up with my planning, but it's fallen off kilter this last week or two. I'll blame in on FH being home. I get all used to my system/schedule/routine, then he comes home and shoots it all to hell. haha. I suppose that's a small price to pay for actually having him here though...so I'll suck it up. :)

I did do my yoga at noon so that was good. And I mostly stuck to my menu for the day. It sort of fell apart when my conference call ran long (as per usual) so then I was starving and wanted my dinner and thought it best that I not go to the gym on a totally empty stomach. So I ate at 6:15....then went to run some last minute vacation errands....then hit the gym for 8:00. I had planned a bit longer workout but because it was so late and because dinner was still sitting like a rock in my tummy I went for the expedited version. Still a good workout, just not the planned one. Afterwards I was still hungry though, so had a bowl of cereal which was fine...but then polished off one of the bags of chips leftover from the night before. Chips = kryptonite.

My workout consisted of a good, sweaty interval run on the treadmill....started with a 3 minute walking incline warm-up, then run 7 mins-4 mins-2 mins-3x 1 min sprints (each run divided with a 1 minute walk) - total running time 16 minutes. Didn't do much of a cooldown, but I did stretching and such so it's fine. Did tricep pulldowns, bicep curls, bum exercises, and crunches. Planned to hit the rowing machine, but it was busy so I just stretched and headed for home.

This morning still got up early to drive FH cuz I'm nice like that....but after such a late workout last night and a short sleep I couldn't face the gym just yet so opted for a Starbucks stop instead. I'll do a session of Power Yoga #3 before lunch and hit the gym tonight...planning my meals a lot better today so I can workout before we eat dinner.

Today's menu...

- Starbucks double tall non-fat vanilla latte (the extra espresso shot takes away a few milk calories but I doubt enough to affect the points value)
- evil Starbucks apple cinnamon bun
- coffeeeee at home w/ demerara & skim
- small ww tortilla w/ leftover slightly smushy Caesar salad & deli chicken
- grapes & light cheddar
- 1/2 banana pre-gym
- chicken nuggets, mashed sweet potato, steamed brocolli
- no-fat Activia yogurt with homemade snack mix Pin It
