Soy Delicious

IMG_8467

OK, so I’m a big proponent of the UVAB because it’s a tasty, creamy, low-cal alternative to regular milk but today’s green smoothie was made with vanilla soy milk and let me just tell you how extra deeeeelish it was!

In the KA: frozen banana, spinach, oatmeal, flax meal, Dreamsicle Amazing Grass, vanilla soy milk.  Soooooo yummy!

Bigass salad for lunch.  In the big silver bowl today:  baby lettuces, yellow pepper, tomato, sweet onion, cucumbers and peanuts dressed with olive oil, lemon juice and s&p.

Topped with roast turkey and light cheddar cubes.  Served with almond buttery Squirrelly toast.

I was struggling with wanting a hot coffee this afternoon but since one of the things I’m working on this week is hydrating I talked myself into a decaf tea instead.

The gingerbread buddies from Laura helped the tea go down. :)

Sadly no workout today.  I had errands to run at lunchtime and thought I would go to the gym this evening, but alas by the time I finished work for the day and took the dog for a quick walk between downpours my back was telling me I’d better take it easy.

Hot, comforting leftover Tom Yum Soup hit the spot.

A minor incident involving my hand, my mouth, and a box of Kashi Honey Almond cereal may have occurred while watching way to much HGTV, so instead of granola and yogurt for my bedtime snack I’m sticking to the strawberries.

Off to watch last night’s Castle, read a little Nikki Heat (are we sensing a theme) and have my lights out by midnight.

Day two, success. :)
