This morning I woke up with a start and panicked because my alarm clock was flashing 12:00! Not normally a big deal for my morning schedule, but of course it had to happen on the day I had an 8:00am appointment to get my car all fixed up for my big road trip. Thankfully it was only 7:30…
After I dropped my car off, I walked the couple of kms home where coffee was waiting for me…
I don’t do a hearty breakfast that early in the day (yes I know you are all rolling your eyes about 8am being early…LOL)… so I opted for a green smoothie…
In the KA today: ice, 1/2 frozen banana, 1/4 cup whole oats, Amazing Meal, flax meal, baby spinach, and UVAB.
Love the oats in there! Kind of “malty” tasting and they totally help make a meal out of the drink.
Since I didn’t load up on groceries this weekend, it was a bit of a struggle to find a lunch meal today. I put the last of the spinach in my smoothie so veggie sticks had to take the place of my planned salad…with hummus…
Matched with a slice of pizza from the freezer…
Substitute for afternoon sugar rush… Lemonade + Blueberry POM.
Fresh watermelon…
and a Club Soda Cupcake…
I didn’t walk back to get my car back until the very end of the day so there was no time for grocery shopping before dinner…no way I was doing that while hungry!
I had been putting a no-grocery meal idea together in my head anyway so decided to go with it.
Tuna Noodle Casserole with a secret ingredient!
Smart pasta, double veggies, dill and dijon…aaaand…
Mashed sweet potato!
All mixed up with tuna and low sodium mushroom soup….sprinkled with light cheddar…
Tuna always needs a pickle!
I forfeited this evening’s leg workout in lieu of restocking the fridge.
Then spent over an hour on the phone with my Mom discussing this great little condo that I may have finally found! eeeeeeeeeeeek. By the time we finished talking I decided to just make tea, blog, and watch Glee. It’s the season finale already. :( *pouts*
Here’s hoping my early morning helps lead to an early night.

Hey, I have a question about your smoothie drink. Can you taste the baby spinach that you mixed into it?
Also, I hope you loved Glee!!!
SQUEEE!!!! A possible condo??? that is so exciting!!!
(Is it wrong that everytime I write condo I want to write condom...apparently I am a twelve year old boy!)
What did you think of the glee finale???
I've never thought to put oats into a smoothie. I can see where it would boost up the oomph of it, though!
mmm...that casserole looks delish! I love tuna+pickles :)
