For the sake of keeping things interesting (for you and for me!) I usually try to mix up the breakfasts a bit…but after yesterday’s hungerfest and this morning’s workout I just couldn’t face a light breakfast. I ran straight for the oatmeal pot!
After coffee of course…
At least I created a new oatmeal concoction!
In the pot: UVAB, water, whole oats, chia seeds, 1/2 banana…stir the heck out of it so the chia doesn’t stick. Stirred in peanut butter right at the end of cooking…
There’s nothing like a brand spanking new jar of natural PB. Nom!
Topped with crushed peanut butter pretzel pieces because apparently oatmeal always requires a fun topping now. :)
Morning workout consisted of pretty much just strength training. Week Three, day three of Intro to Iron. I struggle with a couple of pieces of day three (mostly due to balance) so I was feeling pretty tired and skipped my extra cardio. I’m OK with that. I’ll be beating my abs up with a new workout from the Booty Camp DVD later today.
Work is interesting right now. And by interesting I mean hectic! Let’s just say the whole Toyota recall thing is making a lot of work for our team…especially our journalists!
I came up for air just long enough to grab some grapes and to replace my coffee cup with my water bottle.
Consider this blog my break. Someone please bring me a salad.
