Aw, that song/video will never get old. ha!
Anyway, I guess I’ve kept you all waiting long enough. I liked some of your guesses. Cali, I wish it was Greek yogurt!! Stonyfield? Chobani? Do you hear us? Canadian bloggers need your delicious yogurt too!! ;)
However, I do find this package of blog loot to be pretty damn exciting. Especially since as a former online WW girl I was bombarded with ads for these lovely things day in and day out.
I give you Vitalicious! Vitatops and Vitamuffins! Yay!
“Vitamin-fortified, delicious, better-for-you baked goods.”
The kind folks at Vitalicious were happy to send a few samples my way to taste and review for you guys. I was stunned at the size of the package when it arrived! I expected maybe a couple samples of a few popular flavors, but what I got was six boxes!
- Blue-Bran VitaMuffins
- Cran-Bran VitaMuffins
- Multi-Bran VitaMuffins
- Deep Chocolate VitaMuffins
- Extra Chocolate VitaTops
- Apple Berry Cinnamon VitaTops
Each muffin or muffin top is only 100 delicious calories with varying fibre and fat content. They contain no preservatives and have to be kept frozen (hence the temperature controlled styro-pack they arrived in). They are individually wrapped within the boxes for extra-freshness.
I’ve decided to save the chocolate ones for serious treat cravings, so started out with a Blue-Bran VitaMuffin for my mid-afternoon snack. I let it thaw on the counter for about an hour, then zapped it in the microwave for a few seconds to take the final chill off. Being my first one, I ate it straight up…
First verdict: Nom nom nom!! :)
Earlier in the day was lunch. After the lack of produce that made it into my body yesterday I knew I had to have a bigass salad today.
In the big silver bowl today: Sassy Mixed Greens, grape tomatoes, yellow peppers, and mushrooms…dressed with Fig Balsamic.
Made some chicken salad out of the leftover Pete’s chicken breast. Added green onion, light mayo and grainy dijon. Holy yum!
At the last minute I threw on some reheated leftover brussel sprouts…
And waaaay before all of this was breakfast. I got to sleep in a bit today because FH drove himself so I enjoyed a leisurely coffee first thing…
Then made a hearty bowl of Pumpkin Oatmeal! While making room for the Vita products in the freezer I pulled out a container of pure pumpkin and knew exactly what to do with it.
In the pot: unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze, water, whole oats, 1/2 banana, flax meal, cinnamon and two heaping tablespoons of pumpkin puree stirred in at the very end…
Topped with a smidge of brown sugar and the rest of that super yummy granola bar…
Deeeeeelish.
Holy moly, now that’s what I call a long post. Must finish up work for the day…it’s Friday and I ain’t workin’ late tonight y’all! Movie date with FH on the horizon. See ya!

That is a FANTASTIC "sample" size!!!
I am excited to see what you think of the vitamuffins. I am on ww and have heard a lot about them.
JEALOUS. I love vita-anything, especially the chocolate. Tastes just like cake. Enjoy 'em!
Wait a minute. Are we going backwards? I thought you followed up your big ass salad with a big bowl of oatmeal!
