Whirlwind

A bit of a fly-by post today…I was up barely on time, worked, had to head out for a quick appointment.  Now I’m back working and have to head out again for another appointment around 4:00.

Whoooosh.

Breakfast was simply PB & banana toast.  I heart PB & banana toast.

With coffee.  Half-caf.  Wise move.

Quickie liquid lunch.  Rifled through my Amazing Grass stash (yes I know I need to do an actual post about AG!) and decided on one of the Kidz ones.  “Feel like a kid again!”

In the blender:

  • 1/4 cup frozen Farm Girl raspberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 big handfuls organic baby spinach
  • 2 tsp flax meal
  • 1 packet AG Kidz SuperFood – chocolate
  • big glug of vanilla yogurt
  • skim milk to thin

Not too shabby but I think I’d skip the yogurt next time.  I little too acidic or something.  I do love that it equals 3 servings of fruits and veggies…plus I added banana & spinach which makes it 5!  Salad in a blender!!  But tastier.  :)

023

Topped off with a Coconut Cream Pie Larabar (still my fave!) to round out the meal.  If you can call that a meal.  :)  Calorie-wise it is, so let’s hope it is sustenance-wise as well.

Back to it!

Peanut butter and banana on toast? Y'know something, that's just crazy enough to work. Back to the lab...

I just read your tofu post and I have to say that silken tofu has no place on my table. And I love tofu. I bet that recipe would have been great with extra firm. Silken is good for two things: shakes and whipped toppings. It is actually really tasty whipped with maple syrup for on the side of whatever. Apple crisp, pie, etc. etc.

But cooked? Grody. :O) Better luck next time!

The only thing missing from toast and banana and peanut butter is a light drizzle of honey!!!
