The One with the Hold-Out

I realized today I’m a soup-snob now!  I really don’t each much in the way of canned soups anymore and now I remember why.  They suck.  ;)

This was my second can of Campbell’s Creations, and the second one I don’t like.  This new soup was bland and boring.  I ate it because I don’t like to waste, but I won’t do it again. Nuf said.

At least I had some yummy hummus toast to go with it!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

People, I need to figure out a way to motivate myself to get up earlier in the morning. I’ve fallen into a major slump of barely getting up in time to start work.  People often tell me they are impressed that I can work diligently from home and usually I do, but right now my personal stuff is suffering because I’m slacking and have to give all of my time to work.

I used to get up earlier to either workout before starting work for the day, or to get a couple hours of work done and take time in the middle of the day for myself.  Now I’m sleeping like a teenager and skipping my first class!!  I go to bed with good intentions every night, but every morning there I am hitting snooze, snooze, snooze!

It’s not healthy!!!

So ya, today…no run.  Booooo. No one to blame but myself.  Someone kick me

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here’s the part where you hate me because I’m going to cut this short.  Tonight, I discovered the BEST sushi I’ve had in Halifax yet.  In fact, possibly the BEST sushi I’ve EVER had!

But I’m going to make you wait for the review because it deserves it’s own post and some thought, which I’m just to tired for right now.

Sorry y’all.  It’s worth it.  I promise.  :)

Wow, yours is the second blog I've been to tonight with a bizarre message from "Anonymous." Crazy. The first one was Amy's, where she was accused of making a dig about Oh She Glows (didn't see it at all, myself).

I like cooking with canned soups (don't judge me!), but just to eat them...yucky. Except maybe Campbell's Vegetable (alphabet) because I'm 5 and it reminds me of actually being a little kid, lol.

Food blogs are evidently serious business. Sheesh, anonymous.

Anyway, I'm not a big can soup fan either but the Progresso High Fiber Chicken Tuscany I had the other day was one I'll definitely eat again. It was mostly white beans and they were yummy!

I have no advice for getting up earlier. I'm THE WORST ... certainly no morning person.

Glad you enjoyed the sushi and look forward to your review! It's so pretty to look at but I hate the fishes. =(

To Anonymous: People like you make me sad.... you obviously have no life of your own, other than going around insulting other people for trying to lead a better and healthier life. You don't even have the guts to put your name out there for all to see, and has it ever occured to you that lots of people use the same expressions and that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery".

My advice to you is go & find something constructive to do with your time and 'if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all'.... in words you may better understand, shut your pie hole, and PLEASE vacate the premises!! Oh ya, have a nice day and don't let the door hit you on the way out... :o)

Maybe the best way to get up earlier is to have a whole lot of stuff set up to do earier in the day. Or force yourself into the shower when you alarm goes off.

Anon=cowards in my opinion.
I have had some serious sushi cravings of late - will be caving this weekend.

I am SO right there with you! Except for the working at home thing... but I work for a small family owned company and they all get to work super late and tell me that they don't care if I am late... so I always am!!! Which cuts into my hours and makes my checks smaller. You would think the extra money would motivate me to get my butt out of bed, but it just seems impossible! Blah!

Hmmm let's see. How can you get up early? Well for one thing, I think after you do it for a week straight....the routine will set in and it will be your new norm. But I totally hear ya, I love my bed and each morning, it kills me to get out of it. Maybe treat yourself next Friday if you get out of bed at a certain time every day. Is there a pair of boots that you wanted? A new sweater? Some new workout gear? Don't let yourself buy it unil you have gotten out of bed early for 7 days in a row.

PS Anonymous just plain blows. Grrr.

Thanks everyone for jumping to my defense! Don't feel like you need to though because I know who the troll is and I don't give a flying crap what they think.

Y'all is because I'm Canadian you asshat.

And if I sound like Kath, then I take that as a compliment since she's pretty much the most popular healthy living blog out there.

Go waste someone else's time.

Ok you asked so bend on over... *boot* I know sometimes its the simple answer do you think it could be..get to bed eariler to get up earlier?

I'm not a fan of can soup either, but I have heard some good stuff about that new campbells lentil one...

What the hell? What is going on around here lately? Because you said "soup snob" all of a sudden?

Clearly other people applaud this blog for being devoted to a balanced healthy life.

Anonymous negative comments are not to be dwelled on. <---not proper phrasing, but whatever!

Get up, get to the gym, run it off and have a fantastic day ;-)

So how does it feel to be so popular that you need "security" *laughs*

I get up almost every morning by 5:30am to start my activity at 6am. My great motivator there is the two children that have to be up and ready to leave the house at 7:30 (and both are very pokey children...I've considered buying a cattle prod)
I know that if I don't do it in the am that I'll be too wiped out after work to motivate myself to go for the activity!

Thanks for trying out that soup before I did! Those commercials make them seem so yummy! I will stay away as per your advice :)

I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only soup snob out there :)

Dear Anonymous:

Please leave a mean anonymous comment in all small letters on my blog, so I know I've finally made it in the blogging world like Jaime and Amy.

Warmest Regards,

Tash

P.S. I believe the name "Anonymous" has already been taken. Please get your own material.
