Dilly Beloved

I’m such a dork.  Dilly Beloved.  Lame.  But you still love me, right?

FH has been driving himself to work the last two days so no crazy early morning workouts for me.  Yesterday I took myself for that nice walk around the neighborhood, and today I squeezed in a gym trip after work and we just had a later dinner.  I eat late when I’m alone anyway…so it just means FH has to snack when I’m holding things up.

Today’s gym trip:  20 min jog on the treadmill, 5 minute walking hill climb on treadmill…plus lower body: squats on the bosu, stationary lunges, hamstring curls on the ball, a couple of sets of crunches, and a partial set of Eurydice’s bum exercises.

Girl, you get a linky linkerton every time I type that now.  I heart Windows Live Writer.

Anyway, went for a light breakfast since no workout this morning.  Sample pack of Vanilla Almond Oatmeal Crisp with vanilla Almond Breeze and 1/2 a banana.

Morning snack on my way out for some errands (almost starved poor kitty to death with no cat food in the house!)…other half of banana smooshed with some White Chocolate Wonderful.

Knowing dinner was going to be light on the veggies, I made a bigass salad for lunch.  Fruity and fun!

In the big bowl:  spinach, cukes, blackberries, raspberries, honey & olive oil…at the last minute I tossed in some mixed nuts for a protein kick.

Served with some new Parmesan Riceworks.  Yummmmmm!

On my way to the gym I decided to have a tiny little sugar blast so broke off a 1 inch piece of this organic chocolate I bought on the weekend.  I bought it for all of us blog girls to try but totally forgot all about it.  Sorry ladies!

It’s yummy, but nothing special.  Coconut in dark chocolate, that’s all.

And for dinner I marinated some chicken boobies while I was at the gym and then baked them off while I showered afterwards.  Honey, grainy dijon, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt & pepper.

Served with oven baked potato rounds (just a bit of oil and salt & pepper)…and steamed broccoli.  Viola.

For dessert I bought a tiny, cute container of Smarties ice cream at Wal-Mart for $1 today.  Yes, $1.  How could I resist?!  (Smarties is my favorite Blizzard so I think this is a reasonable substitute.) I promise to have a photo tomorrow!  Night all.

(oh ya, and so ends day four coffee-free…I rock!)

I have tried to look back to see where you first posted about your ulcer. I was officially diagnosed with a hiatus hernia yesterday and when i went online to see what kind of foods i can eat i found that there are some pretty good foods (and believe it or not cabbage is one that is a preffered food-- go figure)
I give you tonnes of credit for the giving up coffee thing! I gave up everything else but coffee was the one thing i kept but i have limited it to 2 cups a day... 2 glorious, day starting, eye opening cups of heaven! lol

LOL I too, like Angie, was wondering if the Dilly Beloved was in reference to the ESBM recipe! Your chicken sounds NUMMY!
