Zoned Out

So I'm sitting here reading everyone else's blogs and just about nodding off when I realize that the reason I sat down was to post my own blog! duh. I'm guessing sleep will come easily tonight. :)

I did manage to make it to the gym by about 4:45. Later than I had wanted, and sure enough it was really busy with those folks showing up after work. Honestly, Mondays are always soooo busy!
My workout....

Treadmill: 2 minute walking incline warm-up, the return of the 21 MINUTE RUN!!!, 2 minute cooldown. (OK, two 30 seconds water breaks, but still!!!) = 25 minutes, 253 cals, 1.95 miles

Rowing machine: 10 minutes, 1880 meters, 95 calories

Upper Body Strength + abs:
- 3 sets of 12 each: tricep pulldowns (15lbs), bicep curls (25lb bar), military presses (25lb bar)
- 5 walking pushups (I suck!) which led to 5 walking planks (15 sec hold)
- crunches with one leg up x 30 (15 each leg)
- reverse crunches x 30

Before I left for the gym, I poured a small bowl of cereal because I knew I hadn't had enough protein in my breakfast and lunch. 1/2 cup Organic Daybreak with 1/2 cup light vanilla soy milk.

When I got home I immediately showered and shoveled dinner into my piehole...I was starving! Thankfully I had pre-dressed and marinated the Greek salad...

So all I had to do was add some chopped romaine lettuce...

Toast my whole wheat pita with a brushing of olive oil....

And serve it all with a huge scoop of hummus. Deeeeelish.

For dessert I enjoyed two Medjool dates (seriously the softest, freshest dates I've ever had...like candy!!) with a half serving of Liberte blackberry yogurt. Who needs ice cream when you have this stuff?! Yes, three dates in the photo but I decided to save one for tomorrow. :)

Then I watched Marley & Me...so yes, I just spent two hours having a good, hard cry. I'd heard it was a tear-jerker but I didn't realize it would like that for the entire thing. Wow. Sooooo good. The book is on my "to read" list and I think it just got bumped to the top. It reminded me a lot of our dear Mojo....he was a bit of a maniac, but he didn't eat the furniture (usually). RIP. :(

So then to clear my head I drove the movies back to Blockbuster. I hate late fees! I enjoyed a Kashi granola bar on the way there...dark chocolate cherry...no pits, Christy! Now...to sleep...glorious sleep!!
