Full Body Workout

So I left the boys to their very loud sports and headed off shopping for the afternoon. Not before I got a quick pick of FH in his racing jacket... (note: he does NOT leave the house in that!) and the snacks that one of the boys brought over. I gave them the plates and bowls and then made myself disappear! And would you look at that...he chose to bring berries as one of the snacks. Who would have thunk it?!

I went over the bridge to Dartmouth to HRM's bigger mall, but made a wrong exit and landed up taking myself to the other shopping area first. oooops. I do that about 50% of the time. Eventually I'll get the hang of it. :) No biggie this time though because I needed to go to a few places there anyway. Then I headed back to my original destination. I picked myself up a non-fat latte at the coffee place in the mall....it was OK...but something seemed off...I sort of wonder if it was 2% milk? Tasted OK, just not right. And I wasn't a fan of their weird styro cups at all.

Sort of let myself get sucked into the Easter candy section again today (I already have a few treats in the cupboard for us so I shouldn't have been anywhere near it!). I decided to get the boys a package of treats, then of course had to get one extra for myself. I ate it in the car and although it was pretty tasty I totally felt like I had just wasted the calories...I could have had something much more enjoyable...oh well. Live and learn right? Now there's an extra one and I won't even touch it because I know I didn't really like it.

man do I need a manicure....look at those battered cuticles!

I was over the bridge too long and wasn't going to make it back for my warm yoga class....boooooo....so decided just to finish my shopping and then hit my gym on the way home instead. Did a wicked good workout to make up for not getting there yesterday. I am going to feel it tomorrow! Saturday was scheduled as a long cardio + full body strength workout so that is exactly what I did today.

Treadmill: 25 minutes incline power walking, varying speeds, varying inclines
+ upper body: 3 sets x 15 reps: tricep pulldowns, bicep curls, shoulder presses
Elliptical: 10 minutes cross country, inclined for entire lower body, varying resistance
+ lower body: 3 sets x 15 reps: plie squats with the ball, hamstring curls on the ball, walking lunges with 8kg medicine ball
Rowing Machine: 10 minutes sprint intervals
+ abs & bum: 15 regular crunches, 15 reverse crunches, 15 second V-sit, 1 set Eurydice's bum exercises, 2-30 planks in between crunches

Holy moly.

Thankfully FH wasn't too concerned about supper when I got home at 7pm, due to all of the snacks and beers they'd had so I made myself a bigass spinach & tomato salad and topped it with the leftover chicken salad from the other day. Delish!! I snagged a couple of handfuls of their leftover Kettle chips and one sad last pita with a huge schmear of hummus.

For a little sweet dessert I went back and ate some Liberte coconut yogurt straight from the container....dangerous stuff! The boys are leaving shortly to race some go-carts to complete their racing day...I'm looking forward to relaxing on the sofa with some tea, the last of the Choco PB Oat Bars and The Amazing Race while they are gone. :)
