Completely lazy Saturday. I slept WAY in.
Gym plans…squashed. Mall plans…squashed. Sunshine plans…done!
Half broiled grapefruit for fuel…
Half English muffin for protein…
Venti misto for caffeinating and Kindle reading…
Fresh air and shots for photography class…
Late afternoon tide-me-over…
Before dinner I popped by a friend’s place so he could use his man-powers on those pesky rusted license plate bolts. After some fuss he was able to get my new plate on there for me…I’m no longer sporting the ghetto back window plate! Finally, the car insurance transition is complete!! (thanks Ibby!)
The urge for a cheeseburger was strong but after extoling the virtues of my meal plan yesterday I knew I had to come home and eat leftovers as planned.
Spaghetti squash with Sloppy Lentils, parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes…
For evening fun I whipped up a batch of Banana Bread to get me through snacks for the coming week. In typical Jaime fashion I couldn’t stick to the exact recipe and decided to add a coconut component to the batch.
A little dry…not my best work…but still delicious.
Saturday night hot chocolate while organizing Google Reader and Internet Favourites. There must have been 50 blogs in my Reader subscription list that haven’t been updated for at least six months…some were like two years old!
Staying home a few weekends in a row sure has led to a tidier apartment and now tidier computer! Must be time for a party, no? :)

Love the sloppy lentils idea! Keeping to a meal plan is hard but worth it in the long run... good on you!
Does broiling grapefruit change the taste of it?
I did snag you a box of the Samoas! email me your address and we'll get it sent up to you.

Hello,
How long do you boil your grapefruit ? It is the first time I heard about that I'm curious to try it on.
Thanks
Hey girls,
I find broiling the grapefruit brings out the sweetness a little, and eating it warm is just fun (although very messy...it gets super juicy). Just place it under the broiler in your oven for a few minutes...until it turns a bit brown and the honey/sugar bubbles.
