TJ Comes Home

What’s the bestest housewarming prezzie for a food blogger?

A loot box from Trader Joe’s of course!!  Eat your hearts out fellow Canadians.  :)

My friend Melinda travels to the US for work on occasion and during her last trip she thought of me and loaded up her cart with fun gifties to make my new kitchen more homey!

Cute card…

But you don’t care about the card…do you?  You wanna know what was in the bag!!  Look at all this snackie goodness…

IMG_0393

Oh lordy.  The Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels are back!

IMG_0396

Mel has warned me that once this bag of Dark Chocolate Covered Powerberries is opened, I likely won’t be able to restrain myself.  I’m a little afraid now!

IMG_0398

Multiple baked goods…coooookies!!!

IMG_0400

…more coooookies!!

IMG_0401

…and brownie mix!

IMG_0402

Bigass bars o’ chocolate for baking…or you know, eating!

IMG_0403

This beauty will be lucky to make it through the weekend.  Caramel!  Peanut!  Nougat!  and Chocolate!  Oh my!

IMG_0404

These Macrobars look really interesting.  She found them next to the Larabars.  All are vegan, macrobiotic, and gluten free…with excellent nutritionals and fun flavours.  Cashew Butter…need I say more?

IMG_0405

And you know no housewarming gift is complete without wine.  Especially when said wine is reasonably priced and found in the grocery store conveniently located near all of the way-fun snack loot!  I think those Americans are on the right track with that one-stop shopping!

I am now well stocked and not so terribly upset that we won’t have time to hit the TJ’s over the border when I head off with my girlfriends for Vegas this week.  I shall be snacking happily for many weeks months to come!

Thanks Melinda!!!

Can I just say, I LOVE Trader Joe's!! You are very lucky in deed! I've heard rumors they are building one here in Salt Lake City, but it hasn't happened as of yet.

I'm new to your blog. Just wanted to say hi and that I'm excited to follow you!

Google "Charles Shaw wine." Heehee. :p It has a nickname and a bit of a reputation (apparently undeserved!).

Lucky you with all that loot!

Not just people in Canada can eat their Trader Joe envy soaked hearts, but also this Texas girl! We planned a trip to San Fran not just for the wine country and redwoods, but so I could go to Trader Joe's!
