Back to regular programming...

Because this is a FOOD BLOG after all!  :)

Saturday:  I met Lynn to run some errands and enjoy a morning treat at Two If By Sea Cafe...

041 042

Gianormous buttery pain au chocolate accompanied by cafe au lait.

It might be a good thing I am moving away from those deeeeelicious croissants.

It was gloriously warm and sunny day, so after Lynn left I took a car full of donations to Value Village, hit up Future Shop for a GPS and an iPod car adaptor, then came home to lounge on the deck with my lunch.

Iced coffee and leftover Chicken & Brie panini...

The late afternoon included cleaning and organizing the house in a last ditch effort to not feel chlostrophobic while the packing ensues.

Dinner was a fresh Summery meal of corn on the cob paired with a salad.  Spinach, tomatoes, beets, chick peas, goat cheese and Fig Balsamic dressing...

I had a hankering for Coldstone ice cream but managed to stave it off with a dish of vanilla yogurt, blueberries and granola.

However, the Cheetos did make an appearance...  :)

Sunday:  A bit of a late start so I decided to make brunch instead of breakfast.  Scrambled egg whites with Greek seasoning, yellow pepper, fresh spinach, chopped tomatoes....

Served on top of a toasted sandwich thin and sprinkled with light feta...

Most of the day was spent sifting through my closet making sure I have enough work appropriate outfits for that convention I'm attending at the end of my road trip and sorting paperwork for my move, etc.

I snacked on a Kashi bar before heading outside to mow the lawn, tackle the weed jungle in our little garden.

I WILL NOT miss mowing our uneven, bumpy yard.  Although...I do like yard work and it is a great workout.

After working up a sweat and a sense of accomplishment it was time for a shower and dinner.  Simple supper of leftover corn on the cob (grilled this time) with beef & veggie kabobs doused with Guinness Bulls Eye...

Served up with lemonade as a refreshing treat...

The evening included chats and treats with girlfriends while we watched the premiere of True Blood Season 3.  Popcorn and chocolates and candies, oh my!  :)  So glad to have Sookie, Eric and all the bad things back for the Summer.  Not that I'm going to have cable after next Saturday....but still!

I am so glad that there isn't a Coldstone in our area... I would not be able to resist.

I love when a barista does a heart in my latte froth, it makes me feel special.

Your salad with spinach, tomatoes, beets, chick peas, goat cheese and Fig Balsamic dressing looks divine. I'm going to make a spinach salad soon now!
