Closing Day

it’s just a rainy mess now, but this is what happened yesterday afternoon and on into the night…

010 013

Um, can you say ewwwwwwwwwwwwww?  Mother Nature missed the memo that it’s Spring now.  It is April now lady!!

That’s about all I have to report about yesterday.  After our 5am partying I slept until about 2pm.  I did get out of the house long enough to buy a coffee (and the newest paperback Sookie book!!), but then came home and pretty much lounged on the loveseat all day.

Food was either toast & PB or leftover Oriental Party Pack treats.  :)

Today’s food is more interesting than yesterday…but it not much healthier!  I was uber-tired this morning, had a lot of work to do, and ran out of time for lunch before we had to head to our lawyer’s office.

I did make coffee though.  Of course!

And since there was still snow on the ground I decided that oatmeal was in the cards for breakfast.  Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal to be specific…

In the pot: UCAB, water, oats, frozen banana, cinnamon, flax.

On top: mini chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, peanut butter.

I got all wrapped up in Monday morning work and the next thing I knew it was time to blow dry my hair and head off to the lawyer’s.

For those of you that have been follow along with our mortgage refi disasterit’s done!!!  Everything finally worked out and I am now free and clear from this house.  Happy because it’s a HUGE stress off my shoulders, but sad because it’s just another piece of the separation puzzle.  :(

I snacked on a Kidz Clif Bar in the car on the way there so my tummy wouldn’t rumble during our meeting.  :)

When we got home I attacked the kitchen.  Leftovers from the party called my name, so I assembled the best grilled cheese EVAH!

Sourdough, brie and peppered salami.  Deeeeeeeeeeeelish! *drool*

And then I set back to work for most of the evening.  In fact, it’s after 9:30 and I just finished not too long ago.  Mondays are a bad day to try to escape for a couple of hours…I always end up working late when I do.  I missed yoga, but that’s OK…I’m sure I will survive.

Arron wanted pizza before he heads of to the desert for six months.  At first I said I didn’t want any, but I caved about 2 minutes later.  :)

Pizza Hut the Edge with pineapple, tomatoes, and Italian sausage.

I still don’t like their sauce, but I do like the crust.  :)  And now I won’t have to cook for a day or two.  For this week, that’s handy.

Right now I have a cup of tea and a couple of Girl Guide cookies

IMG_4928

For those of you wondering about the difference between the Girl Scout cookies I got from Janna and the Canadian Girl Guide cookies…this is them.  The basic chocolate and vanilla that have been around forever.  I used to sell these as a kid but I hated the chocolate ones.  They are OK now.  I buy them more just to support the kids.  hehe.

Tomorrow is the big departure so I may or may not blog.  His flight is late at night (still waiting confirmation that his flight is for sure a go, because of the volcano ash…he has to fly to London, then Frankfurt, then off to Khartoum).  It could be a bit of a messy tear-fest at the airport I’m guessing.  Let’s hope I can save it for the car ride home.

Nothing like Mother Nature to mirror what is going on sometimes in our personal lives...I hope the sun comes out warm and strong for you tomorrow to help you through the day (if he gets out!).

That sandwich sounds nothing short of a-maze-ing!

Hang in there, chickie :)

Jaime, tonight won't be easy but it is the next step. I'll be in town for a run tonight if you want to grab coffee. Not sure when you're off to the airport. Just BBM me if you want. *hugs*

PS. I'm really looking forward to Friday night.

Poor you getting snow! Usually it's us here in Wpg getting that crap this time of year. Hope it melts quick.

Lovely looking sandwich!
