Sushi Feast Sunday

I am kind of digging the wordless posts…I think that may be the new weekend routine.  Of course, I might change my mind by next Saturday.  We shall see!

Until then, today’s meal needs words. Yet another absolutely fabulous dinner at Doraku.  With good girlfriends.

Couldn’t ask for a better Sunday evening.

Love the chopstick rests…so cute!

I want this tea set.  That’s two pots they have that I’d like to “acquire”.  hehe.

Sarah’s rolls.  Check out that mound of wasabi.  She turns it into paste with a smidge of soy sauce.  Insane woman!

Sarah’s nigiri.  Yup, she orders the egg thingy.  I guess I should try it before I knock it.

I didn’t get pics of Cosette’s food, but we were all stuffed.  We accidentally ordered one extra roll so I ate a bit more than planned but I’m not complaining because this is the best sushi ever.

We still had to order the Tempura Banana with Black Sesame Ice Cream though.  Sarah and I have had it before and couldn’t let Cosette leave without trying it.  Deeeeelish.

And cuz you know you have finish a feast with ever more food, the chocolate treats come along…

[This post brought to you by my point & shoot camera.  Better than that post with Blueberry photos for sure!!]

Don’t worry, I worked out yesterday and went for a walk in the sun today.  And tomorrow is a planned cardio day.  The activity balances out the good eats!  :)

I want to go for sushi SO BAD!!! I've never actually been. I had one piece once at a Korean restaurant, but it was just crab on rice, and that's it. Some new friends I made are into sushi, though, so we're supposed to go one day! Yay! These pics make me really want to try these rolls. I think I'll skip the wasabi, though. ;o)

I love tamago (the egg thingy). It has a slightly sweet taste that is very delicate. You are supposed to have it as one of your first pieces of sushi before moving on to bolder flavors.
