Who knew that a bit of iron pumping could help relaxed some tight yoga muscles? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? ha! Either way, I’ll take it!
Woke up this morning with my bad neck acting up…pretty stiff and sore. But after a trip to the gym for day two (week 2!) of Intro to Iron, I feel a lot better. Sweat is good!
Musta been a good workout because I was hungry immediately upon finishing. I didn’t even stop for a shower…but instead went straight to the fridge for the breakfast cookie I assembled last night.
In the mish-mash last night:
- 1/2 banana, mashed
- 1/4 cup unsweetened Almond Breeze
- 1/3 cup whole oats
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp hulled hemp seeds
- cinnamon
Topped this morning with a slightly warmed heaping teaspoon of The Bee’s Knees honey PB.
Drool.
All kinds of carby protein and fiber in there to get the day off on the right foot!
With new coffee…Casi Cielo…smoooooth.
My metabolism must be finally catching up to the 3+ weeks of consistent exercise because I was hungry not more than 2 hours after that nutritional powerhouse of a breakfast.
I held myself off for a little while with a sippy cup fulla water, but when my stomach starting gurgling out loud I knew it was time to give in and make lunch.
Leftover city!
Amy’s Tomato Bisque from last night…heartied up with black beans, couscous, cumin and baby spinach.
Holy yum!! Sometimes I impress myself. LOL. Kinda like a veggie chili, but not.
With my favorite crackers of all time…multigrain Wheat Thins…
Next up…more deeeelish cantaloupe and the evil Lemon Liberte. haha. *step away from the fridge*

Yum, it all looks great. Glad the gym session helped your neck!
Sometimes the tastiest things are the meals that just get thrown together. I call them "fantastic fridge" meals. Just things I find, usually perishables, that need to be eaten!
I am lusting for some evil Coconut Liberte.
Do you think ANY of the stores in my town or nearby have it?
No *sobs*
I think I'm going to make a breakfast cookie for tomorrow. It looks great. As does the doctored up soup. YUM
Yeah, I sometimes find that I go for my gym workout feeling stiff or what-have-you, and after an hour of pumping iron I'm much better.
I think I'm gonna have to succumb to the breakfast cookie thing, too!
