Just got an email from FH saying he’s “sliding” today, which means he’s off work at noon. First day back! Dirty bugger. So I am off to pick him up shortly…only to return to my desk. :(
We awoke to another dusting of snow this morning…
Nothing major at all. In fact, it actually made all of the dirty plowed snow look quite pretty!
After dropping FH off, I headed straight to the gym. I had scheduled a 3km treadmill run for today, but let me tell you people…I was sooooo not feeling it. Got on there, and before I even got my 2 minute warm-up done my legs already felt like lead. There was a lady beside me just pounding her treadmill and it sounded like a herd of elephants. My tummy started to ache. Gah. I made it through 10 minutes of running and when I stopped for my one minute walking break I just didn’t have it in me to get going again.
So I moved onto my upper body strength training instead. Added an extra set of each exercise to help make up for the missing 20 minutes of running. Triceps, biceps, shoulders. Followed by many various crunches and back extensions.
To top it off I forgot to have a little snacky-poo before I went so I was famished! Chowed back this mini Larabar in no time flat.
I’m wondering if I have ever had Cashew Cookie before. If I did, I don’t remember it being this yummy!
Back at home I tackled the coffee pot. I love me a coffee pot timer! Nothing like coming home to fresh brewed coffee all ready and waiting for me!
My most recent S’bucks mug…courtesy of Christmas. :)
After getting work squared away for the morning I was ready for more Scottish oats. Today made with frozen banana, unsweetened Almond Breeze, flax meal, and natural PB on top…
nom nom nom. Crrrrrrreeeeeamy!
Now enjoying my 2nd coffee and tackling a work project…then back out to get FH. Lucky bum.

Your food always looks so good to me! Simple but perfect! I've never seen mini Larabars! Cute! I wish they were a little cheaper here... I switched to another brand for my go to bar because they are cheaper, but I miss my five ingredient Larabars!
Lara bars are expensive.....they are about $2 a pop here in Saint John, what about Halifax?
Too bad about the run. I hate it when that happens, it feels like you are running in glue! On the flip side, it's rare but don't you love the times when it seems to easy to run??
WOW! I didn't realize you guys had that much snow!!! You have almost as much as we have!!! Though I bet yours will melt soon...I will have to wait until May :(
FH is a lucky bugger to get to go home early!! I wish I could go home early!!! Maybe he will cook you dinner???
I have never had scottish oats but they look good!
I'm going to have to try those Lara bars....next time I'm in Superstore...I think they sell them!!!
I got that mug for christmas too. What a coincidence.
Jealous of the snow, we've got zip on the Westcoast.
