Cat’s Meow

OK, so I may have just cried a little while hugging my lovely Miss Cat goodbye.  *boooohooooo*

<<<Rewind to Friday>>>

Full work day, so a healthy breakfast and lunch were had and a workout was fit in to make the pending weekend of indulgence less worrisome.  Insert witty plug about “embracing balance” here.

I was up about 1/2 hour early so ran across the street to Starbucks for my coffee.  Went with a Venti reduced fat egg-nog coffee misto.  Venti because it serves as two coffees and I didn’t want to have to make a second run…

Tiff had picked up a selection of awesome homemade cookies from the bakery next door, so I had an amazing chocolate dipped shortbread with my coffee…

(Only at Xmas-time can you have a cookie for breakfast and not feel guilty!)

And made sure to keep my handy-dandy water bottle nearby…must.stay.hydrated#waterlogged!

Actual breakfast was peanut butter flax toast and an Asian apple-pear

Just before lunch I hit Tiff’s condo gymOMG, how friggin awesome would it be to have this just downstairs?

I got in a great, super sweaty run on the treadmill.  20 minutes running, 5 minutes for walking warm up, cool down and two breaks.  Added some upper body free weights, ab/core work, and a few squat sets for some tushie action.

The trick to my success on that workout was that I put my gym clothes on as soon as I got up, so I didn’t diddle around with having to get changed, etc.

Lunch was more of the bigass salad I made on Thursday…

Topped with my Butchart Garden dinner leftovers…holy yum!!

And this is where the healthy train stopsand the party train begins.  haha.  I’m quite proud of the fact that I planned ahead…knowing all of this was on the evening agenda…

Finally got to meet Cat’s bff, who we’ve been hearing about forever!!

And got to introduce Cat to Tiff and Ingmarie, who she’s been hearing about forever!!

All this festivity might have included a few Strongbow ciders, multiple Bottle Cap shooters (ahem…5!), a round of shooters from our great waitress, and a few bar snacks.

But we danced and drank water, and took ourselves home around midnight.  So.totally.worth the good time with my girlies.  So glad to have my Victoria besties meet one of my Blogger besties

One big happy family!!

I think going out for breakfast is much more lovely and decadent than going out for lunch or dinner. That diner looks perfect for a weekend morning.
