Title inspired by Jen!

****smmmmooooooosh****
Finally, all my favorite blog girls and significant others have arrived in Halifax!
I’ll let these photos speak for themselves. Let me just say LobsterFest!!
Lynn hooked us up with MANY yummy lobsters. And manned the cooking of said lobsters. Poor Angie’s kitchen!
Farm Girl doesn’t eat seafood but she sure can cook it.
Jen wanted to kill cook her own lobster. Squeeeeeeal.
Farm Girl’s hubby entertained us by putting a lobster to sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Then we ate. Messy. Delicious. *insert jealous faces here*
Amy’s first taste of lobster. I think Andrew was more down with the whole tearing that sucker apart part.
Angie knows her way around the lobster.
I’ve got this baby apart, now I’m ready to dig in!!
Lynn got the Hellboy of lobsters. Look at that motherin’ huge claw!
We didn’t just have lobster…side dishes too!
I’ll give you three guesses what my contribution was…
Bigass salad of course! (mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, English cukes, red onion, yellow pepper, and shredded carrot)
With “additions” (herby goat cheese, Honeycrisp apple chunks, pumpkin seeds). And homemade dressing (fresh lemon zest & juice, fresh basil, olive oil, vinegar, salt & pepper).
There was also fresh corn on the cob. And locally baked buns.
And macaroni salad and potato salad. There’s just something about creamy good carby salads. nom nom nom. :)
I mighta tackled a second lobster…
And dessert…seriously I was considering skipping the lobster and just diving into the dessert bowl.
Lex made Death by Chocolate. (This one deserves a deeeeeeelish!!) We all died and went to heaven for a few minutes.
Lex’s Dave. He did dishes. We lurve him.
Oh, there was some sangria. Cat had to test and confirm it was all good. (I had one glass…it was fab…Angie’s mastered that recipe!)
Joshy sang us a song.
Amy cuddled Chandler (Ms. Chanandler Bong!!)
Tash cuddled Lucy. Although I think Lucy might have instigated some forced cuddling. She’s tough like that.
Are you jealous and crying yet? I know I would be! :) I freaking love these girls. It’s hard for me to call Halifax home, but tonight felt great…like home. Thank you ladies for that!!
Now if only FH wasn’t out in a damn boat right now! Wish you were here honey. :(
