The One Small Victory

Well, I got the run in…but not the yoga.  After running on the treadmill I reassessed and decided my neck probably can’t handle a full hour of yoga.  Frustrating, but I have to listen to my body.  It’s a yoga class I’ve never been to before so I can’t be sure I can modify what I need to and it would be rude to walk out if I couldn’t do it. So I settled for some very simple basic crunches and called it a night.

Small victory:  I was able to jump up to the next step for the 5km intervals.  3 minute warm-up, 4 x 5:1, 2 minute cool down.

Before I went I had a 1/2 banana smooshed with The Bee’s Knees

I was pretty hungry when I got home so I dove into a dish of hummus and FSTG chips

And after a hot shower and a heat pack I reheated the last of the leftover stir-fry…which I jammed full of extra bean sprouts (cuz what else am I going to do with bean sprouts??!)…

And of course, the sweet tooth portion of the daypumpkin spice fudge!

And pumpkin spice tea…I added pumpkin pie spice to a cup of decaf orange pekoe with a little honey and milk…not too bad!

Has anyone else watched Trauma?  What do we think?  I can’t decide if I like it or if there’s just nothing else on TV on Monday nights?

I think that’s my indicator to take my book and head to bed…

Listening to your body is SOOOOO important! Although any yoga teacher worth practicing with would have been able to offer modifications for you if you told them your limitations.

And the sea to sea thing--I decided I needed a way to keep track of the miles I log so I can see how far I actually go. And seriously, Terry Fox is one of my heroes (even though I'm going the opposite direction--I just thought I'd be too tired to do the Rockies at the end. Get 'em out the way at the beginning!).

I can't comment on the tv shows. Sans tv chez moi!

Good job on listening to your body, that`s definitely VERY important!

I've watched a few episodes of Trauma and I'm in the same boat...Can't decided if I really like it.
