Gas Pains

Attention Nova Scotians!:  Miss Lex was kind enough to let us all know that gas is predicted to go up over 5 cents per litre overnight tonight!  I went out right after my first cuppa coffee and filled my tank.  It ends up only being a savings of like a dollar, but it’s the principle of the matter you know?

Anyway…

Half-caf egg noggy goodness…

And I finally got to make oats in a jar!  I see this all over the blogosphere, but I don’t seem to eat my nut butters near as fast as a lot of you so I never get to clean out the jar with my hot oatmeal.  Today was the day.

Crunchy organic PB stuck to jar.  (Not even microwaving loosened it up!).

Filled with oatmealy goodness.

In the oatsunsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze, water, oats, 1/2 banana, flax meal.

Last minute addition:  crumbled Oatmeal Raisin Bar on top.

Big work day.  Lotsa projects on the go.  Stay tuned on Twitter for upcoming daily water chugging challenge (#waterlogged).  :)

I put some PB in my oatmeal every day. I never thought about doing it the other way around to make sure I get every last drop of awesomeness! Thanks for the tip! As everything you post, it looks yum!

Oooh, what a good idea! I'll have to try that!

PS--Love your Vegas mug!

I love that you put your oatmeal into your PB jar, instead of scraping it all out and getting it all over your fingers. This idea is yet another reaosn why you rock! :)

I need to try that soon!

haha... that's so not what I thought you meant by "gas pains". I was all ready to be sympathetic! Oatmeal looks tasty!

Oatmeal looks awesome...
I actually signed up for these 'breaking news alerts' on our local news stations and it will alert me ahead of time if gas prices go up. I consider it a serious coup if I can save pennies on gasoline.
