Again!!
Why is it that I always seem to be jumping back on the horse? I’m easily distracted that’s why. Any excuse will do. Well not today!
New menu/exercise plan. This is the rough draft. I already know my Saturday-Sunday will be swapped this week because I have plans on Sunday…but I wanted to lay out the “ideal” plan to start.
This may also change based on Haliblogger input. Thus far, we have tentatively agreed that Fridays work for us to run together…but I can only imagine that seven Fridays in a row won’t work out.
I’ve opted for a Mon-Tues-Fri running plan (based on the lovely Amy’s recommendation for a three day schedule). I like this because even if we have to push Friday to Thursday or Saturday it won’t really mess up my training rhythm.
So far I’m only indicating an outdoor run once per week. Mainly this is so I can do strength training at the gym at the same time as my runs, but if the weather cooperates or someone else feels like an outdoor run I can always modify as I go.
Other goals for the next month (I say month because things may change when FH returns for Nov-13th)…
- at least 3 litres of water per day (watch Twitter for my daily water chugging challenges: #waterlogged, #nowigottapee)
- proper breakfast-lunch-snack-dinners
- more veggies – less meat – less carby treats
- extra yoga whenever I fit it in (my shoulder/neck issue is now creeping to the other effing shoulder!)
- and the ultimate October goal – no Halloween candy until Halloween! (Look out 31st…you will be mine!!) bwahahaha :)
Do you have any October/Halloween/seasonal goals?

Always good to have a plan - even if you do have to make some changes along the way. I'm still chugging along with my Fit Chick Express Holiday Challenge. That'll keep me going til January.
Operation Christmas Party Dress resumes today! Not quite full force as I'm still feeling the after effects of a cold, but definitely a walk and yoga are on the agenda.
Congrats on committing to a 5K! The Santa Shuffle is a fun race. It was my first 5K in Calgary.
H =)
Great plans!
I have totally failed on the "no halloween candy"...we have had TONS of it around the office!!! It's ridiculous!!!
I think I just need to keep my hands OUT!!!!
I must think of some goals for the winter....things are going to change for me here, so I can't have anything TOO static!!!
I am going to steal your idea to make a calendar again....
The good thing about jumping back on the horse is that the horse hasn't run off and left you in the dust. You've got this...
Looks like you have a great plan in place.
For me, I want to be 100% back on plan, that means, food, exercise and everything in between by Halloween. I'm starting with food.
Thanks for your comment the other day....I appreciate you so much, and I am so ready to do this...I feel so determined and so inspired and I can't wait to shrink out of all my clothes again, and get fit again....
I'm planning on avoiding Halloween treats all together. The only treat I'm getting this halloween is drinks at my halloween party. I don't need any treats...I've treated myself enough...
Miss you jaime...
I seem to spend more time on the ground than on the horse.
You're on the right track though, sounds like a great plan and an even better plan doing it as a group.
I'm so excited for the Santa Shuffle, it's just the thing that I needed to get my exercise motivation back. It's gonna be a blast too, especially if we do what you mentioned in the email. :)
PS. Love the water chugging contests.
