Give Some, Get Some

First things first

Tomorrow is the big day!  Head on over to The Chic Life and pick out a sweet treat to bid on.  The online bake sale runs tomorrow (Wed, Jan-27th) from 12:01am to 11:59pm ET and there a literally dozens of items to chose from.  All proceeds are going to the American Red Cross Haitian Relief efforts.  I know you can all spare a few bucks to help out, and in return a fabulous blogger will send you some yummy homemade baked goods.

If you really want to make my day, make a big bid for a batch of my Mayan Chocolate Sparklers.  They won’t disappoint, I promise!!

(Diana is going to have an actual bid page, hopefully along with a plug-in to track all of the bids…poor girl is burning the midnight oil trying to get everything ready.  update: Ready to rock!!  Get bidding!!)

And back to our regularly scheduled programming

After all my big talk about morning workouts, the early mornings caught up with me a bit this afternoon.  Around 3pm I could feel myself waning, so I filled up my water cup and poured a 1/2 serving of peanut butter pretzels.

Must be going around…Ali wrote about the same problem today.

In fact, I managed to eat an unpictured Coconut Dark Chocolate Kashi bar after picking FH up.  It’s my own fault, I haven’t been drinking near enough water…and when I get thirsty I crave carbsFigure that one out!

Come dinner time it was back to the bigass tray of lasagna.  I baked up a half serving in the oven…

And steamed up a giant side of veggies…asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower.

For dessert I pulled out the bag of previously frozen Mayan Chocolate Sparkler balls I had stashed away at Christmas time.  All this talk about cookies for the bake sale reminded me that I hadn’t cooked these off at New Years.

I dangerously discovered that these frozen balls of goodness don’t actually require baking to be enjoyed. uh-oh!

I ate a frozen dough ball and it was deeeeeeelish.  DANGER!!

Whoever bids on these babies is one lucky person.  If I do say so myself. :)

  2. I don't see why not. Donations will likely be US dollars though...depending on how she sets it up.
